MINI reworks Countryman, Paceman models for 2014

MINI reworks Countryman, Paceman models for 2014

MINI is tweaking its Countryman and Paceman utility vehicles for the 2014 model year. The changes include more standard equipment and a new rear seat configuration.

For 2014 both the Countryman and Paceman will come standard with heated mirrors and washer jets, which were optional extras on the outgoing cars.

For 2014 MINI is also doing away with the Countryman and Paceman's Center Rail system. In its place will be standard double cup holders located in the back seat.

The Countryman's rear cup holders will include a 12V charging outlet while the Paceman's will include a 12V charging outlet and an iPod holder.

The Countryman gains new rear seat padded armrests for 2014, and a bench seat will now be the crossover's lone rear seat configuration (buckets were previously offered).

All 2014 Paceman models will come standard with MINI's Comfort Suspension. A Sport Suspension will remain on as a no-cost option.

All those changes add up to a $100 price bump compared to the 2013 models. The 2014 range of MINI Countryman and Paceman models should begin arriving on dealer lots within the next few weeks.
