The 2014 Mercedes-Benz E63 AMG wagon will undoubtedly be a rare sight on these shores, but the Mercedes is giving you the chance to see the ultimate grocery getter up close and personal in a new walkaround video.
Highlighting the high-performance S model, the video shows just about every angle of the 2014 E63 AMG wagon, including its powerhouse 5.5L twin-turbocharged V8 engine. Although carried over from last year's model, the S trim line raises power from “just” 518 horsepower and 516 lb-ft of torque to 577 horsepower and 590 lb-ft of torque.
In order to make sure that added power gets to the ground in an efficient manner, the 2014 E63 AMG wagon – and the sedan, for that matter – now comes fitted exclusively to Mercedes' all-wheel drive system. Although the AWD system cuts back on some of the E63's hooning potential, it should still allow for some tail-out fun, thanks to a 33/67 power split front/rear.
Mercedes says the E63 wagon is capable of accelerating from 0-60 in 3.6 seconds, which is quick enough to make just about any sports car blush. The E63 AMG can carry the entire family up to a top speed of 186mph.
Mercedes typically sells fewer than 100 examples of its ultimate wagon in the United States per year, but if you have a spare $92,400, a 2014 E63 AMG wagon could be sitting in your garage.
