Acura to sponsor "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee"

Jerry Seinfeld's hit internet comedy show “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” will return this summer with Acura as a headlining sponsor.

Acura announced this week that it will sponsor 24 more episodes of Seinfeld's “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee,” with the first episodes set to air this summer. The new season of “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” will run through 2014.

As part of its sponsorship deal, Acura ads will run at the beginning and end of each “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” episode. Acura says it will also “incorporate several unique product integrations.”

"We at 'Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee' are so glad a company we already admire has stepped forward to support us," said Jerry Seinfeld. "Not everyone understood what we were doing. But like Moe Green who invented Las Vegas, Acura is a company of vision and guts.”

Launched in July 2012, “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” was somewhat of a surprise success, drawing more than 10 million streams. Seinfeld even won a Webby Award for Outstanding Comedic Performance for his work on the show.

The upcoming season, which will air on Crackle, will feature comedians like David Letterman, Sarah Silverman, Chris Rock and Don Rickles in cars getting coffee.

Of course Seinfeld is no stranger to the Acura brand. In 2012 Seinfeld starred in Acura's Super Bowl commercial, which also featured the NSX and Jay Leno in a flying squirrel suit.
