Aston Martin teases upcoming mystery model again [Video]

Aston Martin has released a second video teasing an upcoming model. The video doesn't identify the vehicle in question, but it does contain clues that suggest the mystery car is almost certainly a special edition of the Vantage.

Although the video never gives a full-on shot of the car, a brief close-up of a hood adorned with a quartet of air intakes indicates that we're likely looking at a version of the V12 Vantage – albeit with added carbon fiber bits and what looks to be a unique yellow exterior color.

In all likelihood, the mystery car is a commemorative model intended to send off the current Vantage range, which debuted in 2005 and will soon be put out to pasture. Aston Martin has apparently chosen the V12 Vantage as the base for the special edition model.

The video also reveals that the changes to the special edition won't be limited to just new trim pieces and other cosmetic changes - a shot of the interior shows paddle shifters behind the steering wheel, meaning the V12 Vantage's six-speed manual has likely been swapped out in favor of Aston Martin's seven-speed single-clutch automated manual.

A message at the end of the video hints that more information will be released on Wednesday.
